In a way, returning to music after such a long hiatus has given me the opportunity to reinvent myself. With a renewed commitment to my creative pursuits, I felt like a re-branding of my logo was a must. I wanted something bold, strong and confident, but also personal. The output is seen in the above image.
The logo was designed by a good friend of mine, Devin Carter, who is a branding, illustration and design wizard. After giving him some reference images of marks that resonated with me, he went off and worked his magic on potential routes to take this project.
An early draft featured strong letters that connected to spell out 'STU':
While the style felt right, we discussed shifting the lettering so it would read 'SP' for Stupendous, while still giving a nod to the name 'Stu'. After a quick sketch from Devin, we were in business with a brand new logo that I'm proud to put on all of my work moving forward.
