We're just two week's away from the launch of Paid Time Off! When it drops, it will be paired with this cover art. It's symbolic of my time away from music, but also of the idea of breaking free from the commonplace to chase your own pursuits. I love how it turned out and hopefully you're feeling it as much as I am.
Coming up with the visual concept and seeing it come to life is always one of my favorite parts about putting out a project and this time around was no different.
A little look behind the curtain:
An old friend from college, Andrew Roles, led the photography for this project. He has a great eye and has always been involved in the hip-hop community. The visual concept was actually based off of a photo that my designer, Devin Carter, took for a project we were working on last year. I made it my own by adding the briefcase with the bills peeking out, and set the backdrop outside of a traditional bank in downtown Portland. I'm lucky to have some very talented and creative friends to help with these visuals!
