I just realized it's been over a year since I last put a fresh post on here! Last time we talked I was coming off of the high of what was my first show in a decade - and the amazing outpouring of support from my friends and fans. I remember reflecting on my year as New Year's came around - and that night stood out to me as the most fun I had all year, so thank you to all those who attended!
A lot has been going on in my life since then. Most notably, my second child, Wade, was born in March. He is a healthy, giggly six-month old now and getting bigger and more fun every day. Still, raising two small children has been more challenging than I expected and only in the past month have I felt life slowing down to my new normal.
Having two kids has also amplified my desire to live a life that makes room for pursuing your passions. They are my motivation to dream big, and in turn I hope they are eventually able to do so themselves.
I've been quiet on the music front, but have managed to write around ten new songs since the Paid Time Off EP released last year. In the months ahead, I'll get back to recording and start planning the launch of my next full-length album. I'm going to do it differently than you're used to though - more to come on that later.
As a commitment to creating more regular music, I've also rented a space out for the next year that I hope to record most of my vocals out of. It's been a process over the past few weeks to find and buy all of the necessary equipment, including a custom PC that I'll use as the hub of my recordings.
I'll be doing more updates on here on my progress and personal thoughts on the creative mentality. Check back weekly for what's new!
